A new grocery store had its grand opening today, so I popped over to see what they were offering. The produce section caught my eye immediately:
Someone went to a lot of trouble carving these melons. A nice touch, that.
Artichokes, mushrooms and orchids. Why not?
Asparagus never looked so good.

My mom took a cruise recently and described the fruit and vegetable displays at the buffet just as you showed in your photos. Did you have the same displays on your cruise?
Yes, we had that on the Alaska cruise, Jackie. Had never seen them before.
Amazing. If they taste only half as good as they are presented . . .
Yes, let’s hope they do. Our produce just isn’t what it used to be. I have to look hard to find really good apples these days.
