Meahwhile, back in Fredericksburg, Texas. . . .
This photo kind of says it all. Fredericksburg is a mix of vintage, cowboy, great architecture and style. The only thing missing is the German influence:
The stuff in the boutiques pretty much runs the gamut:
I believe those are cattle horns under that table.
Love those old architectural details.
This sign was outside the coolest place. Wish I could have taken photos, but we were the only customers in there. Next time. (A bit of cross processing applied here.)
There were lots of clever planters throughout, but I like this one best:
Let’s not forget the Texas pride that pervades the state. . . .
Hope your week’s going well so far.

Fredericksburg is a unique get-away weekend destination. . . love that place . . .but love Comfort better !
Oh, we’ll have to see it one day!
Such a picturesque place!
I really love the photo with the door. That would be a great cover for fantasy novel somehow.
This is why I love comments, Caroline–they give me ideas I never would have thought of!
Great set of pictures. Another cool photo essay.
Thanks so much!
Love the cowboy boots as flower pot. How creative and fun!
I didn’t really think about how creative all the plantings were until I looked at the photos, Jackie. Now I’m wondering if the same person is responsible for a lot of them.
Don’t mess with Texas. Such a charming and odd place.
So true. 🙂 Almost like a different country.
