Don’t worry, you’re at the right place. I’m experimenting with different templates, so this may not be the final choice. Your patience is appreciated.
I took this shot of autumn leaves just over a year ago in the state of Maryland.
Hope you had a nice weekend. It’s been very hard to watch the coverage of Superstorm Sandy. I’m very thankful that my friends and family back East are safe and dry and with electricity. My heart goes out to the people who lost their homes.
Election Day is tomorrow and I’ll be voting. Fingers crossed that the election won’t be decided in the courts.

I was …puzzled. I hope changing the template will not affect your blog (my movie blog had a drastic visitor dropped after I changed it).
This one doesn’t work so weel for me, to be honest. It’s too green. But you’re still experimenting. š
This is some suspense… The election I mean.
The photo is very beautiful.
Caroline, I don’t like the green either, and I miss my header photo. After combing through tons of templates, I’m realizing I’ll probably have to find a designer who can give me the look I want. There are lots of things I like about WordPress, but it can be really confining too.
I’ve been experimenting with different WP designs also. Nothing seems quite right.
I’ve heard that if you use a self hosted theme (wordpress.org) that will give you the bells and whistles you want, your subscribers have to all resubscribe. Not sure if that is true or if I’m getting confused about it.
If you find a designer you like, please let me know. I’ve been contemplating the same thing.
I wish I knew a good designer, Jackie. Will let you know if I find one. Have contemplated moving to wordpress.org, but will have to see if it’s more expensive than just doing a self-hosted blog on a different platform. WP seems to charge for every little bell and whistle.
Jennie (A Lady in France) did the move and it seemed to happen pretty easily. I know what I want, just can’t find all the elements in one template.
I’m curious what you find out about self-hosted, designers, and all that jazz. I’ve been contemplating a change but i don’t know where to start. I do love the photo. All the leaves are slowly disappearing here. Good luck with everything and if you can, keep us posted.
I really don’t know where to start either. I’ve found another template that I’ll try tomorrow, but still not thrilled with it. The designers I’ve found on line have nice stuff, but it’s either too stark or too cutesy. If only I knew HTML and CSS. . . .
a new layout is as good as a holiday i think š lovely composition & tones
Thank you. Hopefully, when all is said and done, the new layout will be something worth celebrating. š
