OK, now it’s official. Spring has arrived, although we’re still having rainy cool weather. Can’t complain, though–we need the rain desperately. And at least it’s not snow.
I took the above while living on the East Coast and they are my favorite tulip magnolia blossoms.
Great weekend, everyone!

Happy Spring to you too, dear Carole! I love magnolia and can’t wait to see them blooming this season. However, here is snow everywhere yet, Spring is not in a hurry to Kiev this year. Animals and birds are suffering so much. Now I am filming titmice and would like to show my cute little birds!
I’m really surprised at all the snow in Europe right now. That’s kind of unusual, or isn’t it?
We had titmice back on the East Coast too–they really are cute.
Yes, I also find snow in March odd…but it seems global warming and other back results of human presence on Earth drastically affect nature and its laws!
Who knows. When I lived in Michigan I was still shoveling snow in April. I don’t miss that at all!
Happy Spring! It’s slowly coming back. We had such warm weather and then, a 20°C temperature drop and snow. This was the weirdest winter ever. I hoe our magnolias have survived this sudden cold. They didn’t have any blossoms yet but tiny buds.
So it is a strange winter in Europe. I hope your magnolias survive too. You’re so lucky to have them!
Very strange. I hope they survived. My roses have died. Usually they survive the winter.
Oh no, Caroline. That happened to me in Michigan. I pulled back the mulch too early (in April!) and they perished.
Yes. That’s what happened. Very sad. Maybe some branches will grow again but it doesn’t look too good. Hydrangeas the same.
Beautiful ! Well, Spring has finally arrived, and the dogwood and redbud trees are now ‘strutting their stuff” all over the Piney Woods of E. TX .
Oh, I love dogwoods and redbuds! We had them in our yard back East. They even have wild dogwoods out in the country.
