A lot of our time in Stockholm was spent in a moving vehicle. I wish we’d had the opportunity to walk around more, but that’s the downside to cruising. I had the option of taking notes on everything we saw, or shooting photos. I think you can guess which one I chose. The following are various places around Stockholm with descriptions if I know them. I apologize for some glare and reflection from the windows.
I do love the colors and architecture of Stockholm. It was a very nice surprise for me.
Royal Dramatic Theatre, founded in 1788. The theatre’s acting school, Dramatens elevskola, produced some famous actors and directors, including Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman and Max von Sydow.
Yes, that’s Burger King and 7-Eleven.
I’m not a fan of cold weather, but I’d love to see Stockholm in the wintertime too.
Great weekend, everyone!

I am walking with you, Carole, and wonder how colorful Stockholm is, how sweet and charming! Great weekend to you too!
Thank you!
There you go with those pastel colors again**! Thanks for the treat.
** Exception: that Seven-Eleven sign in photograph #5. No sweat.
Happy to oblige. 🙂
Carole thank you once again for sharing! Such amazing photos. The burger king looks out of place with those big buildings! Lovely
I know. 😦 Wish we had better representatives over there.
I’ve not been to Stockholm, but it’s high on my list of cities to visit. What a pleasing city. I love how much water there is around the city.
Yes, it’s all built on islands. I think you’d love this city, Jackie.
The colors surprise me.
I’m not sure about Stockholm in winter. I’d love to see the snow but the days are awfully short. It’s dark at 15:00. And the sun rises after 9:00 or so.
Oh, I forgot about the dark winters. I couldn’t live there because of that. I’ve seen gorgeous photos of Stockholm in winter, but most of them were indeed in the darkness.
I think the bright colors are to counteract the bleak winters?
The photos are beautiful. For some reason they remind me of the 80s.
I like the “Pub”.
Thank you! I like the pub too. At first glance I thought the date at the top was 1316 and couldn’t believe it. After zooming in, I saw it was 1916. With so many medieval towns on this trip, I wouldn’t have been surprised.
cool to see those colorful buildings 🙂
My favorite part of this trip. Beautiful pastel buildings wherever we went.
Love the soft colours of the buildings! 🙂
Same here!
Gorgeous Stockholm photos. My late aunt lived there.
Thanks so much! I hope you got to visit her there.
