I took this in the charming little town of Rostock, Germany. I loved the peachy walls and gray shutters in the background. Rostock was an unexpected gem and I’ll be blogging about it in the near future.

I would never have suspected Rostock could be nice. It embodies everything “we” associate with the former DDR. Glad to hear it’s not like that.
Caroline, I wondered why I’d never heard of this place, then someone mentioned it used to be in East Germany (GDR or German Democratic Republic to us). I had no idea what to expect, because I’d never been there, but I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the photos to come.
