I took this shot the morning we docked in St. Petersburg. I liked the way shadows mimicked the stripes in the deck chairs.
Those are lifeboats overhead.
Great weekend, everyone!

Great picture. Looks as if it just waiting for a person to sit with a good book in the glow of the sun.
I know. Had every intention of doing just that, but there just wasn’t time. I did walk the deck a few times for exercise, but it was really windy when we were at sea, so that made it harder. The only people on deck were other walkers and a couple of little boys playing shuffleboard. 🙂
everything is pristine !
They kept that ship immaculate, Susan. Can you imagine the wear and tear on those wooden doors?
I’d love to just pull up a chair and take in the view. I went on a cruise once – a long time ago – to the Caribbean. I’ve heard the ships have changed tremendously. They seem like floating hotels.
They really are, Jackie. Complete with a casino. The cruise ship I took to Hawaii was much more bare-bones.
Beautiful and very inviting.
Thank you, Cornelia.
I like the way the shadows fall ove the floor boards.
It’s amazing you werw able to capture this with nobody around.
Would you believe I was awake at 4 a.m. most days? We called it the “jet lag cruise.” 🙂
Oh no. That must have been harsh. At least you got to take nice photos. 🙂
We kind of got used to it, as crazy as that sounds. It helped to have breakfast from room service around 5. Staying awake in the evening was kind of rough sometimes, but the white nights helped.
