Georgetown Salon

Back in June 2012, I was driving down Wisconsin Ave. in Georgetown looking for something to photograph.

I liked this building a lot. Can almost hear the floorboards creaking. Love that old architecture so much.

Then this nail or hair salon stopped me. I found a parking place (minor miracle in Georgetown) and photographed it from different angles….

Looks like at least two flower boxes with sweet potato vine, coleus and petunias? Someone has a really green thumb. My potato vines never looked that good.

Hope your week’s going well so far. . . .

  1. We have similar style buildings around here, especially in the West Village. Although most of them seem to be brick construction, I have seen a few of the clapboard variety. Occasionally you can still find ones with carriage houses attached. I’m fascinated by those.

  2. I’ve never been to Wisconsin but I have been to Ireland…it kind of looks like southern Ireland with the architecture color and beautiful flowers everywhere. Nice images!!

Such beautiful buildings. I like the color as well and all those lovely details. The flowers are very well kept.

I actually miss seeing potato vines. Didn’t really notice them until I moved to Boston. Not sure I’ve seen any in London. Lovely photos.
