If you’re surrounded by snow and ice, or sick and tired of rain, here are some torch lilies at sunset to warm you. . . .
Also called Red Hot Poker.
Hope your week’s going well so far. . . .

That last one is a brilliant photo.
they are warming indeed.
We had snow all afternoon, afer a few days of very warm weather. They were huge snowflakes, quite lovely.
Oh, I love it when the flakes are huge…so fun to catch them on your face. I’m almost missing snow, Caroline.
Wow — the colors! Great photography; in what season were these photographs taken?
Thank you! I took these last month.
so so pretty! They make me warmer on the chilly day we have today in LA 🙂
Thank you, Marina. 🙂 It was cool and damp here today too. The weather has been kind of extreme for California this winter.
You’re right – these pictures make me feel a lot warmer. The colors are so tropical they radiate warmth. I needed that! I was snowing here today.
Glad to help, Jackie. I miss snow just a little tiny bit. 🙂
Forgot to tell you–any camera shop should be able to develop your film. I was kind of shocked to see what they charged me (almost a dollar per print!). Happy to stay with digital.
Thanks for the tip about the film. I remember when the prints were about $.10 each. I guess I’m dating myself. 🙂
Haha, me too. I KNOW they weren’t even close to a dollar apiece in the old days. Sheesh. Luckily, there were only six shots on the roll. (The camera was an old, broken point-and-shoot.)
I’m not surrounded by snow, but I still love these shots. The colors and the bokeh are gorgeous.
Thanks so much!
There is a promise in those pics, Carole. Thanks for this shot of brilliance to beat off the February blahs!1
Anytime, Cheryl. 🙂
I never knew their name. Lovely
Thanks. 🙂 I knew red hot pokers, but didn’t know they came in other colors.
*sigh*.
I’d give anything for summer to hurry along.
It was cool and damp here today, so I’m kind of longing for summer now too. Thanks for dropping by. 🙂
Yup! Just what I needed.
Cool. 🙂
