Last night after dinner, I noticed that the peach-colored rose bush was in full bloom. The light was catching them just so, and they were fairly begging to be photographed. I put down the iPhone, pushed aside the iPad and pulled out the Nikon.
Wish I knew the name of this floribunda–the coloring is so beautiful. Parts of the flower look pink, then peach, then pink again . . . .
There’s even a hint of gold inside.
Thank you, previous owners, for planting this.

This is a very elegant rose, I like the different shades, subtle. I was wondering whether it smelled as nice as it looked.
I’m afraid it doesn’t, Caroline. I’ve only had one beautiful rose that smelled as good as it looked: Perfume Delight. Would love to replace the somewhat boring white rose with that. We also have a dark pink rosebush that smells heavenly, but the blooms are not out yet. Photos coming soon. š
Isn’t summer evening light so wonderful. Beautiful texture and colour in the rose. Lovely.
The light has been incredible here the past few nights. Glad you liked this.
WOW. Breathtaking.
Thanks, Jennie!
I love the delicate, soft colors on the petals. What a nice treat left from the previous owners. The previous owners of my apartment left 2 chipped cups and a plate. š
Awwwww! I am really grateful they didn’t dig up the rosebushes. Have heard of people doing that.
I can almost smell them. So beautiful.
Thank you. š
Beautifully captioned images/post, “Exquisite”.
Thanks, Cheryl!
Delightful !
I appreciate that, Susan. How are things?
