Exquisite

Last night after dinner, I noticed that the peach-colored rose bush was in full bloom. The light was catching them just so, and they were fairly begging to be photographed. I put down the iPhone, pushed aside the iPad and pulled out the Nikon.

Wish I knew the name of this floribunda–the coloring is so beautiful. Parts of the flower look pink, then peach, then pink again . . . .

Peach light

There’s even a hint of gold inside.

Thank you, previous owners, for planting this.

This is a very elegant rose, I like the different shades, subtle. I was wondering whether it smelled as nice as it looked.

    • I’m afraid it doesn’t, Caroline. I’ve only had one beautiful rose that smelled as good as it looked: Perfume Delight. Would love to replace the somewhat boring white rose with that. We also have a dark pink rosebush that smells heavenly, but the blooms are not out yet. Photos coming soon. šŸ™‚

  2. Isn’t summer evening light so wonderful. Beautiful texture and colour in the rose. Lovely.

    WOW. Breathtaking.

  4. I love the delicate, soft colors on the petals. What a nice treat left from the previous owners. The previous owners of my apartment left 2 chipped cups and a plate. šŸ˜›
