Thanks, everyone, I had a great time at the cousins’ reunion. We flew to Denver, then drove through Wyoming to the Black Hills. Saw some amazing skies along the way. . . .
When you’re driving the highways of Wyoming and South Dakota, the horizon stretches to forever. I’ve been there before, but am always surprised by the wide vistas. You can even see rainstorms in the distance:
If you look closely, you’ll see a rainbow just above the fence.
In this shot, it’s raining on the left and sunny on the right:
I have more photos, but am still unpacking suitcases and there’s the little matter of moving into a new house. Getting there, but still a bit to be done.
Hope your week’s going well. . . .

Absolutely amazing shots – the road shots. I’m really pissed that I didn’t take them (in a nice way, of course)
Ha ha, of course! Thanks. š
These are amazing skies. Just to look at them inspires feeling of freedom.
That’s very true, Caroline. It is really something to see all that space.
I’m with you on that, Caroline. The wide open spaces just makes me feel so boundless!
I don’t think this region could be any more different from New York City, Jackie. Like separate countries almost.
Had to look closely to see the rainbow, but there it was/is! Stupendous shots, Ms. Pearl , , ,
Thanks so much!

Thank you, and welcome to the blog.
I love this sky and cloud drama. #2 is my favourite! (Also really like the neverending road scenes)
Thank you so much. It was fun capturing them.
Oh this makes me homesick. I’ve been missing Colorado lately and the scenery. Thanks for a fix!
You’re so welcome. š
