I’m happy to help you out here. Maybe these shots from a bakery in Union Station will give you an idea or two. . . .
I didn’t add texture to the shot above–it’s etching on the glass of the bakery case. I may try adding a subtle texture in the future, though.
You know something? Shooting all these baked goods almost makes me feel like I indulged. 🙂
Hope your week’s going well so far. . . .

Mmm…I love breakfast food.
Same here! I’ve been eating peanut butter on toast for years and it’s getting old.
Breakfast is the best! That looks like a place I would love.
Wouldn’t it be great to have this nearby? On second thought, maybe not. 🙂
Very appetizing… But I would struggle with the choice, so many different ones.
I’m glad I wasn’t hungry–much easier that way.
I think I gained 10 pounds just looking at all of these delicious pastries. Yuuummmm!
I promise you won’t gain an ounce looking, Jackie.
OMG … those sure kick the daylights out of my bowl of oatmeal, boring by comparison even with dried cranberries and brown sugar! I better find a bakery in Fort Myers at my end of town and soon. You are an inspiration, Carole … as are the pastries!
Cheryl, I love oatmeal, but it leaves me hungry. I need some protein in the morning, whether it be peanut butter (bleah) or an egg.
And here I was feeling sorry for you freezing up in Canada. 😉
Wait – that’s not steam? I always have to rein myself in with bakery desire since I can’t eat gluten.
Nope, just some reflection. Nowadays I limit myself to photographing pastries because I just can’t take the calories. The days of eating whatever I want are definitely over.
Yum. Makes me feel like baking!
Me too. 🙂
You just made me hungry!!!! Don’t those pastries look divine! Especially the one with the flaked almonds on top.
