Everywhere I look, I see pink….
These are all Kwanzan cherry blossoms. The blossoms you see at the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. are from the Yoshino cherry tree, and they are much smaller and paler in color.
I like them both.

I love these trees. We got quite a few here, they are so full of blossoms. I like it when the wind chses them down the street, it looks like petal snow.

Absolutely beautiful…We used to have flowering crab trees in our yard growing up, white, pink & magenta flowers and petals everywhere. I hadn’t thought about them for a long time until I saw your picture.
We had flowering crab trees too, Jeanne. Did you ever eat the crabapples? Whew, sour!
I have heard so much about that book, I’d like to get it. Those blossoms are pretty. Ours are all dead everywhere. It’s like we’ve moved on to summer.
I think that may happen to us too. Crazy weather here–88F one day, 46F the next. I’m really not ready to move onto the Wash DC hot, humid summer.
These all look beautiful. Not many blossoms where I live. I set the second picture as my desktop.
