A few days ago, I drove a friend to the airport. On the way home, I decided to stop at a local nursery to see what was available.
Even though it was 88ºF outside, the more delicate plants were inside a makeshift “greenhouse” of plastic sheeting to protect them from colder nighttime temps. I spotted this gorgeous hanging fuchsia plant and took the next three shots with my iPhone:
Don’t they look like ballerinas?
Of course, I bought the plant. The shot above was taken with my Nikon and I titled it “Fuchsia Ballet.”
Great weekend, everyone!

just beautiful. the last shot reminds me of some of those magnificent jellyfish floating in the oceans.
Thank you, and welcome to my blog. I really enjoyed your post today. Ireland is a place I want to see someday soon.
Your welcome. I hope you can make it one day 🙂
I love fuchias! They are some of my favorite flowers for hanging baskets on my porch. Thanks for sharing.
This one will definitely be hanging on the deck this summer.
I love photo number three. Glossy colors. I got a huge fuchisa as a present once but it didn’t survive.
They’re pretty delicate. I had to make sure they didn’t get too much sun in California. I imagine they are annuals here.
Love ’em! And you’re right, they do look like ballerinas!
Hey, you’re back! Hope you had a good time on the cruise. Checking out your blog now….
I don’t think I’ve ever seen that flower before. Absolutely beautiful!
Wow! beautiful and yes, they do look like Ballerina
Wow–I’ve never seen a fuchsia plant! They’re gorgeous–so elegant. Beautiful shots!
A fuscia ballet and a joy-making performance at that! Great pics, Carole. Still patiently, well maybe not so patiently, awaiting spring’s arrival. Big fluffy snowflakes outside my window as I write this.
Beautiful flower shots. especially that final one
