What’s a trip to New York without Times Square? It was really encouraging to see all the billboards for theatres–when the economy tanked, there were troubling rumors about theatres shutting down. The clarity on these monitors is truly amazing. Ah, technology.
Another view.
More glassware at the Empire State gift shop.
Empire State Building
Remember “Sleepless in Seattle”? If it’s on TV, I have to watch for at least 15 minutes. I don’t feel the same way about “An Affair to Remember”–too weepy.
Another bridge in Central Park
A fire alarm box on a street in one of the boroughs. I like the rusty colors and decided to “Polarize” it.

Next week I’m meeting a friend I’ve known since I was six years old in Florida. We are taking another friend who’s developmentally disabled to Disney World and Epcot for the first time. We all grew up together and have stayed in touch all these years–a huge blessing in my life. I hope to share some iPhone shots when I get back, but won’t be blogging or commenting until then.

Love the NYC pics! It’s my fav place to visit. Hope you had a fun and safe trip to FL!
It’s one of my faves too.
I will definitely enjoy going to Florida. Can you believe we’re supposed to have snow this weekend??
I love all of these, so much to see and so many different textures and colors. Thanks for sharing this series of photos with us!!
Very happy to do it. 🙂
Thanks for sharing NYC. I especially love the polarized shot. Have a great trip!
Thanks, Jeanne. That Polarize app is one of my favorites. I have to rein myself in sometimes or I’d overuse it.
Dear Carole,
Great pictures.
Thanks for sharing them with all of us!

Thank you, Meri! Oh, I’ll bet the weather is beautiful in Barcelona now.
The polarized fire alarm is a striking shot/processing. Enjoy your time in Florida with your friends. Epcot blew me away the first time I went. I look forward to seeing some iphone shots next week. PS: How do you feel now that the painting class has ended? Che
Thanks, Cheryl. Would you believe I’ve never seen Epcot? Just never got around to it.
I have mixed emotions about the painting class. I’m relieved in one way, because it was so challenging, but I also miss it already. I met some really nice people and learned soooooo much. More in an upcoming post….
Have a great time in FL!!
Love, love, love these shots. The ones of the Empire State Building are spectacular.
Great pictures. Makes me want to visit NYC again, especially the pictures that didn’t have any people in them.
Thanks. 🙂 Your blog is hilarious.
