It’s really winter now

One remaining

What a difference a day makes. I took this yesterday, and now my surroundings are a bit altered:

(Some neighbors still have Christmas lights up.)

I took this last night after the snow started falling. First night shot with the new Nikon. The top light is the streetlight and the bottom one is a neighbor’s gas lamp.

I leave you with this quote:

“Advice is like snow; the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into, the mind.”

~Samuel Taylor Coleridge

  1. I have to admit that after all the snow we got last year, I haven’t been too excited for snow this winter. But now I’m loving the snow we got last night! Not enough for me to get stuck anywhere but still enough to cover everything and make it pretty!

    Beautiful pics!

Snow really transforms the world into a fairytale landscape. Your third picture is fascinating… Almost a bit uncanny.

    These pictures are so gorgeous!
