I took this on a freezing-cold day last week right after a very wet snowfall. I can’t believe snow can cling to such glossy leaves. Don’t you just love holly?

I do love it. It has such an intense green. This looks like a young bush. We have some here on which the leaves are almost black. Our tempertures are rising. Typical. Already above 52°.
Believe it or not, this is part of a very tall tree! I fertilized heavily this fall and it’s paid off, because the branches are full of berries after being pretty bare in previous years.
Glad it’s warm there–the wind makes our temp seem like 20ºF.
