Jacaranda Season Once More

It’s time for the Jacaranda trees to bloom here. They are one of my favorites. The blossoms remind me of bluebells.

Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa, is known as Jacaranda City or Jakarandastad in Afrikaans because of the large number of trees, which turn the city blue when they flower in spring. Would love to see that.

Hope you’re all healthy and doing well….

    Great color! Great perspective!

Gorgeous! I’ve seen photos of these trees in Pretoria, and actually thought they must have been photoshopped. Now I know!

  3. Thank you for your post as I love Jacaranda trees, as I often drive through Jacaranda allies here in Southern California, like on a daily bases. I didn’t know it’s history in South Africa. There I learned something new about the trees I see every day. Thank you.
