When I took this photo recently I didn’t notice how dilated Yuri’s pupils were. They’re huge. I guess that makes it easier to hunt in the dark. I will often find him in front of our sliding doors at night, completely engrossed by something, but of course I can’t see a thing.
A recent New Yorker Magazine article said that cats are less domesticated than we think. I know, because sometimes Yuri looks like he wants to kill me with that intense stare! 🙂

What a handsome little fellow! [He IS little, isn’t he? Can’t tell from the photo.]
He’s not as big as some cats–about 10 lbs. or so. His long hair makes him look bigger.
Carole, I so can relate to that look of Yuri with my cat Moshu.
