Superbloom 2019 Part II

Welcome back to Superbloom, or as some are calling it, The Poppy Apocalypse.

Here’s another shot of the Elsinore Mountains with the poppies in the foreground.

Really can’t get over the colors.

The terrain is so unusual too.

This is the trail I was hiking.

I’m hearing that the Walker Canyon poppies are getting trampled, but there are other sites where you can view them, according to Condé Nast Traveler:

Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve in Murrieta
Harford Springs Reserve in Perris
Box Springs Mountain Reserve in Moreno Valley and
Hidden Valley Wildlife Area in Riverside

All in California. I have not visited these areas, but hopefully they can handle crowds better.

Great weekend, everyone!

    Absolutely breathtaking!

  2. Ah, this spring nature is just exploding, very well captured by your wonderful images.

Stunning landscape. I have a hard time commenting on your blog btw. Also I cannot like anything anymore. It happens on most domain sites. It’s new. No clue why. I also have to sign in every time I want to comment. Does that happen on my blog too?

    • Wow, I had no idea! How strange. I don’t have the same problem with your blog or any others, so wonder if the problem is on my end. I did notice that my sign-in looks different now and when I try to work on my iPad it’s very limited. Thanks for letting me know.

      • Caroline says:

It’s not only your blog. It’s on most blog that don’t have WordPress in the address.

      • Hmmm. Mine says “pearlsandprose.wordpress.com.” I paid for the domain name, so thought “wordpress” wouldn’t be there. Just noticing this now. Uh oh, I thought I’d renewed the domain name and hadn’t. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, Caroline.
Update: I had renewed, but WP is not recognizing it for some reason.

      • Caroline says:

Same here. I also pay for the domain name but still see the full name. I’m also constantly logged out of my account. Will have to check it.

      • What’s really annoying is that WP thinks I need to renew but we have the credit card receipt.

      • Caroline says:

It’s possible though. Do you have another plan, one that includes the domain? It’s not included anymore and needs to be renewed separately. Or is it only the domain name? They changed policies so maybe this causes errors. I’ll contact them on Monday.

      • I just renewed the domain name. I noticed that they were pushing for an upgrade, so wonder if that’s the new policy? Let me know what you find out.

      • Caroline says:

Yes, that’s the new poilicy. I already have an upgrade on mine. But that doesn’t answer the log in question yet. I’ll let you know.
