Oh, I meant to get this in before October, but then I caught the flu and didn’t feel like doing much of anything. Seems kind of early for flu season….
I flew up to Oregon for a long weekend and took the shots below from the plane. I had a short layover in Seattle, which was experiencing terrible air quality due to fires. At first I thought it was fog. That made it really nice to climb up for this view….
Pretty sure this is Mt. Rainier. So glad I had a window seat for a change.
I had almost forgotten about Mt. St. Helens until I saw the caldera. They’re both so beautiful.
I’ll post more photos from Oregon in the future.

One word: WOW.
Thanks. 🙂
Glad you’re back! Love that view of the caldera.
Thanks, Susan! I was really surprised to see it.
Very beautiful. I’m sorry you had the flu. It’s even worse in summer.
At first I thought, these look like the Alps but they don’t. They are not as sharp, therefore, if I’m not wrong, they are older.
Thanks, Caroline. I haven’t had the flu in years.
I’m so glad to hear you say that about the Alps. I once told someone that some mountain ranges are older because they’re not as sharp, and they thought I was nuts! Evidently they thought that every single mountain range formed at the same time.
I found it so interesting when I hear it and it made perfect sense. The more exposed they are, the softer the edges, like cliffs. I find rounder mountains much more pleasing.
Weird to call someone who knows more nuts.
I think they were truly incredulous. 🙂
Absolutely breathtaking! How did you manage to make such clear photos! Nice to see you here back! I am also with cold in bed now!
Oh, sorry to hear you are sick! Hope you’re better now.
I don’t know how they turned out so clear–I shot these with my iPhone. I’m constantly amazed by that device.
Thank you so much, yes, I am recovered now! You’ve got really great device!
I have to agree!
Breathtaking!
Thank you!
Wow
