Winter Skies

I’ve probably said this before, but I love winter in California. The winter solstice is a week away, but the air is already clearer, the temps much lower and the skies are deep, deep blue.

So nice to see the mountains again.

I miss posting twice a week, so will do one or two photos on Tuesdays with a longer post on Fridays. We’re going away this weekend, so I won’t be posting this Friday.

Great weekend, everyone!

Love those shades of blue – so calming !

  4. There is something marvelous about the winter light. Here the light turns a marvelous shade of salmon-rose at dusk and the skyscrapers nearly twinkle. A small compensation for the very early sunsets.
    Have a lovely weekend!

  5. I am not far where you live, Carol, I love the season in California as well when it gets colder, and recently the sunsets have become so gorgeous in all it’s pallet of colors, it’s like the sky becomes like a painting

Looks so transparent. I’m sure I would love winter in California. We were lucky so far. Blue skies until today.
