I’m sorry to say that my 17 year-old baby, Rocky, died on Sunday. He developed back problems and was in a lot of pain. The end was swift and peaceful, but our hearts are broken.
The photo above was taken four years ago before Rocky got cataracts and lost his hearing. It’s the way I want to remember him.

My heart goes out to you Carole. The loss of a family pet is devastating and I know how much you love Rocky.The pain will subside but it won’t go away. We lost Blu, our cat, nine months ago and we miss him every day. The memories we have of our furry companions will remain with us always. My solace is knowing that one day I will see Blu and all the other pets I’ve had in my lifetime waiting for me in heaven. He’ll be healthy and frisky just as he was here on earth. The Lord can ease the pain. Just ask him. He’s doing it for me. Hugs.

Those of us who have been lucky enough to have known a devoted animal’s unconditional love share your heartache. When that loved one become a memory, those memories become treasure beyond measure. What a gift !
So sorry to hear about Rocky! Our Sven died when he was 13. He always waited for our kids school is each day and walked them back to the house!

Aw, my heart goes out to you, your beloved Rocky made it over the rainbow. Loosing a dear pet is so painful, but yet knowing that he is relieved from pain is a soothing feeling.
