We’ve been having really unusual weather lately. Cool and windy and now, rainy. I never thought I’d be happy to see rain after years in the D.C. area, but we’re in the middle of a drought. While walking Rocky, I took these shots after a brief rain shower:
Red Bottlebrush. The name fits, doesn’t it?
Common Day lily.
Monday is a holiday here (Memorial Day) so I’ll be back in a week.
Great weekend, everyone!

So gentle flowers, adorable!
Thanks. 🙂
We’d love to share some of our rain with you but Mother Nature isn’t cooperating !
Oh, I wish! Hope yours has stopped by now, Susan.
I’m so glad to hear that you’re getting much needed rain. I hope it keeps coming and producing beautiful flowers like these.
Me too, Jackie. We had a little more last night, but it’s very rare to have rain after March here. Fingers crossed.
rain stuck in silky hair of flower … nice
Thank you.
Lovely
Thanks, Cornelia.
Such lovely photos. I don’t know what it is about flowers and raindrops but it’s a lovely sight.
Have a wonderful weekend. Everyone’s off here too. Pentecost.
Thanks, Caroline. When I lived in the D.C. area I had all kind of opportunities to shoot raindrops. Now I have to use a mister if it’s not wintertime.
