Two of my favorites meals these days:
Fish taco from Rubio’s made with a corn tortilla, beer batter fish, cabbage, white sauce and a slice of lime.
When I moved to San Diego the first time, everyone kept telling me I needed to try fish tacos. I was like, what? Never heard of them. Didn’t like the first one I tried because I wasn’t accustomed to cilantro. Now I love them. Here’s a good recipe if you want to make fish tacos at home.
I threw this salad together and tried a new dressing my friend T. told me about: El Torito Cilantro Pepita Caesar. There’s a wonderful tangy creaminess to it which worked wonders with my salad of lettuce, smoked turkey, cherry tomatoes and avocado.
What are some of your favorites?
Mouth-watering! I’ve never had fish tacos but could imagine I’d like them a lot. The salad would be my thing as well.
I’m doing a very spicy Thai style chicken these days which I like a lot. Tiny red peppers, coconut milk, lemon grass, ginger . . . Very spicy. And tuna, black olives, tomato, garlic, onion sauce sauce with pasta. Now I’m hungry. It’s soon time for dinner.
Oh, now you’re making me hungry. Not sure I’ll be able to settle on that day-old chicken salad now. 🙂
Oh my goodness. I can’t wait for fish tacos from Rubio’s! Can. not. wait. 🙂
Very nice shots…lovely post.
Glad you like them.
Looks and sounds good. I love cilantro and was sad when I moved here and couldn’t find it. but then I learned they call it coriander. That was a happy day.
I keep forgetting that! Can you grow some on a windowsill?
