I’ve recently noticed an upsurge in views of this photo on Flickr, so decided to put it on the blog.
This was taken at Parque de María Luisa, or Maria Luisa Park in Sevilla, Spain, where we honeymooned five years ago. The grounds were formerly the gardens of the Palace of San Telmo and the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 was held here.
A horizontal view of the same place:
It was really hot the day we were there, so this was kind of an oasis for us.
Great weekend, everyone!

Pretty !
Thanks, Susan!
That brings back memories. I was in Sevilla during a really hot summer and any bit of green was so welcome. This looks like a lovely park. I’m not sure I saw it. I’m amazed how well these photos look. The reflections in the water are great.
Thanks so much, Caroline.
Our hotel concierge told us it was a 10-minute walk to all the sites and it was over a mile, so we did a LOT of walking in the hot sun. This place was a great respite.
A honeymoon in Sevilla sounds perfect! 🙂
We actually went to Madrid, Barcelona and Toledo too. Madrid was my fave. 🙂
Are you from Spain? my grandparents are… could you tell me where this is situated please ?
No, I’m American and live in California.
Maria Luisa Park is just southwest of downtown Sevilla, near the Canal de Alfonso XIII.
Love the reflection!
Thanks, TB! Hope you have some sunshine over there.
