I just picked the first lemon off my semi-dwarf Meyer Lemon tree. I’m kind of amazed, because I put the tree in a container, and wasn’t sure if lemons would really grow on it. In the spring there were wonderful-smelling blossoms, then these little hard green spheres. Finally, this month they all turned yellow. The lemons are kind of small, but a slice in my cup of tea was just right. . . .
(I added a soft, off-white overlay to this image.)
Hope your week’s going well.

I love this photo!
Thanks so much, Caroline! I’m happy with the way it turned out.
The softness is great, just the right tone. I love this composition.♥
Thank you. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment shot, so that’s nice to hear.
That’s often the best one. 🙂
More and more, I’m finding that to be true.
I love the softness of the photo. I wonder how I could do that to my photos…
It’s very easy if you have Photoshop or Elements. Just add a fill layer of any color you want, then adjust the opacity until you get the desired effect. Be sure to make a duplicate of your original image before you start working on it.
I just want to go sit on a verandah somewhere! 🙂
Sounds good. 🙂
gorgeous !
Thank you!
This is a very lovely photograph! Love how you composed this shot.
Thanks for the kind words!
Everything about this is perfect – the rose, the tea, the slice of lemon …
