Until I moved to California, I thought jade plants (Crassula ovata) were nice little houseplants that just looked green and waxy. I was so surprised to see them flowering, and growing outdoors, and as big as shrubs. I took these on a beautiful day last week when the light was turning golden.
Great weekend, everyone!

I don’t remember seeing them bloom. How cool!
Really fabulous.
I’ve never seen them with flowers. How nice.
My goodness! I have a jade plant in my office and have never seen it flower. (My co-workers bought it for me because they heard that jade plants are nearly indestructible, i.e. even I couldn’t kill it.) 🙂
Love the golden quality of the light in these shots, Carole. You have a great weekend too.
I thought you meant the stone when I read the title. The leaves look familiar to me, but the flowers not at all. It must be fun living in a warm and very different climate.
It is pretty wonderful.
