Now that spring is coming to California, I’m reminded of the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C.
Here’s a look back at some Kwanzan cherry blossoms, my favorite. . . .
Hope you all had a nice weekend. If you’re in New England, I hope you’re safe and warm despite all that snow.
Oh, just for fun, Google the word “askew.” And then, “do a barrel roll.” 🙂

They are so lovely those blossoms.
The google thingy didn’t work. My browser doesn’t support it. Yeah well..
Bummer! I switched to Google Chrome last year because I got tired of things not working.
Now I tried it on the Mac and it worked. Thta’s quite an effect. 🙂
Made me laugh. 🙂
Too cold to imagine such beautiful blossom will be coming our way in a few months. The barrel roll is excellent:)
Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
I could use some California sun right now. I love winter, but it was cold on my walk today. I think Miles is ready for the summer as well. Enjoy the warmth for us.
February was the longest month when I lived in the Midwest and back East. So cold and dreary. I feel your pain.
pretty pretty pretty! I have seen so many trees flowering around my home and along hiking trails recently. springtime is in the air!
Yes, we’re so lucky to have springtime in the month of February!
Cherry blossom time is always a favorite. At the botanic garden there is a large mall area lined with the trees – so beautiful when they are all in bloom. But that won’t be for a while yet. Though – I did see some daffodils peaking up through the snow believe it or not. Too early for them!
Way too early for daffodils! How strange, especially with snow. I saw some in the grocery store today and was tempted to buy some, but didn’t.
my all time favourite! very gorgeous captures
Thank you!
Beautiful cherry blossoms … thank you for the reminder that Spring will come! Google thing askew/barrel roll didn’t work. Would be delighted to try it if you could include a link in your post, Carole. Happy Valentines Day
Thanks, Cheryl.
Are you using Internet Explorer? It may not work on that browser. Try Google Chrome or Firefox. Not sure if providing the links will work, but try these:
http://www.google.com/search?q=askew&aq=f&oq=askew&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
http://www.google.com/search?q=do+a+barrel+roll&aq=0&oq=do+a+&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Sorry they’re so long, but shortening them may take away the effect.
OMG … that’s so cool!
Thanks, Cheryl. 🙂
Cherry blossoms remind me of Japan. I’d like to add a cherry tree and olive tree in our not-so-very-big back yard.
I love both trees.
I love the colors and the bokeh in these shots. I’ve never seen this kind of cherry blossom, the flowers are beautiful.
Thank you. They are from Japan, but only grow in parts of the U.S.
