While driving through an old neighborhood in San Diego, I spotted this beautiful convertible. It was at a private residence, so I took this shot from afar:
I then moved over to the sidewalk and captured the front view. The car is a Mercury Eight, which I’ve never heard of. Can you believe the finish on it? I took this on Veterans Day, hence the bunting and flag.
For this instagram, I used the Photo Toaster app, which is a lot of fun to use. I’ll be doing a post on that app in the future.
Next Thursday is Thanksgiving, so I’m taking the week off. I’ll be back on the 26th.
Great weekend, everyone!

Enjoy your holiday. That car is stunning.
Thank you. 🙂
What a fantastic motor car. Vintage American car design is just fantastic.I don’t get crazy over cars but there is something so special about these.
I’m not that crazy over cars either, but these classics are just so beautiful.
Beautyful car. I’m looking forward to hear more about the app.
Have a great week.
You too!
That’s one beauty of a car. So shiny you could use it as a mirror!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Yeah, I can’t get over the finish on it. Better than our new car! Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Jackie.
So shiny!
Crazy, isn’t it? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a finish like that before. Not even on brand-new cars.
Really like the results you got from the Toaster App on this shot, Carole. Have a great week away …
Thanks so much, Cheryl.
Cool car! I don’t know what the toaster app does because I didn’t see anything hugely remarkable. I need to check out instagram.
