Outside the Art Walk

We went to an Art Walk yesterday, and the artwork was nice, but the surroundings really caught my eye.

Mother Nature provides the perfect backdrop for these colors.

I do love peeling paint and old doors. People look at me so funny when I shoot stuff like this.

I’ve photographed this salon before. Not your everyday workplace.

My favorite canna, growing outside another salon.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. . . .

  1. Fabulous colour – I enjoyed my evening stroll ( it’s evening here!)

    • That’s one of the things I love about the Internet: someone could be looking at my morning post across the world in a time zone several hours later. The immediacy of Web connections still kind of rattles my brain cells.

I like peeling paint as well. There’s something about, it looks as if te object was telling a story.
All these shots have fantastic colors. I can hardly belive the sky is this blue where you live. Amazing.

    • I can’t get over the blue skies either, Caroline. They were absent most of the week, though, as the marine layer was stuck over land. I did get some interesting shots of the roses, which I’ll share on Wednesday.

I really like the color in your photos…especially the salon and the canna……very nice Carole!!!

I strongly believe there is a photobook waiting to go on the shelf for all these amazing ‘shop’ tours you shoot, Carole. These are all so well done in their own right, I can’t choose one as a favourite … but the peach door is close! Well done!

Wow! That is one bright flower!
