Tangerine Sunset

The night before our trip, we had a pretty wonderful sunset. From the northwest we saw this:

From the north:

And from the west, a tangerine sky framed by neighboring cedars:

Quite a nice send-off, don’t you think?

That’s a very special color, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it quite like this.

    • I can’t get over how different every sunset is out here. The most beautiful one I ever saw was in Laguna Beach years ago. The entire sky was on fire. Red and orange everywhere.

  2. Outstanding. She’s a clever one, that Mother Nature.

Am I ever a sucker for sunsets — and I like tangerines, too. These photos are among your best (best of a stellar bunch, I’ll add). Bullseye! Thanks for sharing.

  4. I can never see enough sunset photos. I just love them. There’s something new to see in each one – no two are ever the same. Like snowflakes I guess.

I say it again, “Ain’t nature grand” … incredible sunset, beautifully captured, Carole.

  6. Lady Jennie says:

I posted sunset pictures today, but they are not as pretty as yours. 😉

Tangerine sunset “from the Northwest” photo is awesome!!! I would like to purchase a print of this to use as a background for a gift I am making for my cousin who is a breast cancer survivor. Our italian grandmother’s favorite color was tangerine, and so I googled tangerine sunset. I live in San Clemente, CA and can mail a money order or check.

    Thank you.
