I was hoping to photograph the inside of more shops in SoCo, but found more than a couple “No Photography” signs. I decided to use my iPhone in the areas that did allow photos. Propietors seems to be more comfortable with that.
At any rate, there are some great shops filled with brightly-colored objects everywhere you look:
I am lovin’ what looks like an old hotel desk. . . .
I really like these little “heart stones.” Came home with one of the beige ones. I’ve heard of having wedding guests write messages on stones like these with a permanent marker for the bride and groom.
You almost have to go through these places more than once to take it all in. And we did.
Then there’s Allens Boots. I went a little crazy in here, but they have so many boots! The workmanship is unbelievable, and I hope you can see it in these iPhone shots:
Couldn’t resist doing a polarized version:
Aren’t these purple boots something else?
Hope your week’s going well. . . .

I am thankful that most smartphones now a days have decent cameras! Love the porcelain light switch colors.
Same here. The digital camera on the iPhone is so much better than the old phone I had before. You can do some pretty amazing things with it nowadays.
Those are some boots! Not sure where you wear them, but they are cool to look at.
They wear them pretty much everywhere in Texas, but I wouldn’t be able to wear cowboy boots in the D.C. area. I just love looking at them. 🙂
The colors! Even on the boots!! Wow. Super photographs. Keep it up, Ms. Pearl.
Please?
Ha ha, thanks!
It’s like a rainbow exploded in there! I love all the vibrant colors. Makes you come alive. 🙂
Yes, exactly!
How I love those colorful objects. That’s all mostly Mexica, right? We have a tiny shop eher who seels this type of things, it’s so noce, I could get drunk on those colors.
I think most of it is Mexican, but I noticed some tags from Central America too.
It was so nice to see bright colors after winter up North.
Those purple boots are amazing! You would certainly stand out in the crowd wearing them!
For sure!
I’m kicking myself for not photographing a cowboy in bright turquoise boots. They really stood out too.
That is a very colorful post! It practically vibrates!
🙂
I like the old hotel desk too. I had a friend from Texas who used to buy cowboy boots dirt cheap and then bring them back to NY and sell them for a fortune.
Wow, smart. Were they used? The new ones are really expensive.
