We had a cool summer until a week ago, now all of a sudden it’s really hot at the same time there are a few dead leaves to be seen already. Two seasons in parallel. The fuchsia looks still very lovely.
Yes, Europe seems to be having really strange weather this year. I’m surprised at all the dead leaves here too, but I think it’s because the trees are stressed from all the heat.
Great capture. I love summer and I am sad it’s passing by.
I would like it better if we didn’t have so much heat and humidity, but it beats snow and ice for sure.

I ‘heard’ the first sounds of fall at the cottage up here a couple of weeks ago … acorns kerplunking into the lake! And, I arrived home yesterday to the Black-Eyed Susans in glorious bloom!
No acorns falling here yet, but I imagine you’re ahead of us. Aren’t Black-Eyed Susans just the best this time of year? Their colors are perfect for fall.

I used to love summer, but as I get older, I prefer fall and spring. I’m starting to prefer winter over summer.
