Take a so-so photo of a peony in the sun…
Take out some of the color, add some brightness and then slap on two or three textures by Florabella and les brumes:
A bit more interesting, I think.
Have a great weekend, everyone. Monday is a holiday in the States–Memorial Day–so I’ll be back here on Tuesday.

I love those before and after posts. I know I said it before. The second photo with the grained texture looks like a painting on canvas.
Thanks, Caroline! That’s the look I was going for.
Absolutely gorgeous!I want to learn how to do that to my flower pictures. Have a great weekend Ms Pearl.
Thanks, Jeanne. If you have Elements, it’s pretty easy. Kim Klassen has a great, free tutorial on textures at http://www.kimklassencafe.com/free-video-tutorials/.
I love peonies too. When mom died in 2004, my sisters and I lifted some of her’s and each planted them in our own gardens. I don’t know the name for the plants I chose, but they are white as snow! One plant is just forming buds now. I moved the other two to better locations last year so I don’t expect to see blooms on them for a while. Can’t wait!!! Beautiful images, Carole.
What a great thing to do, Cheryl! I wish I had some of my mom’s peonies. Send me a link if you take pics, OK?
Very cool. I wish I were better with manipulating photos.
Believe me, I’m just a beginner. I experiment a lot.
