If you ever go to Epcot Center, be sure to visit the France Pavilion. It has the beautiful architecture, an Eiffel Tower and its own little Seine complete with artist and vintage bicycle:
There’s also a restaurant called Les Chefs de France, where my friend S. and I took our developmentally disabled friend J. to celebrate her birthday. It’s very Parisian:
(Sorry about the quality–this iPHone shot looked crystal clear on the camera, but something happened along the upload way.)
This is what we had for dessert:
Those profiteroles were good! But the best part was, right before we dug in, seven or eight French waiters surrounded us and sang “Joyeux Anniversaire” (Happy Birthday in French) to J. They looked so handsome in their black waistcoats and long white aprons–I wish I had a photo. It happened so fast, and I guess I just wanted to enjoy the moment. One thing’s for sure: we’ll never forget the delight in J’s eyes.

What a beautiful place!! And now I want that dessert ๐
It was wonderful.
Wow! I didn’t know what I was missing when we were in Florida in February. We never made it to Epcot Center. Now I will surely have to go back or head to France. That dessert looks delicious! Blessings, Jeanne
Jeanne, I had been to Disney World years ago, but never Epcot. All the pavilions are beautiful and there are topiaries and flowers everywhere. Definitely worth a visit. I’ll have more pics to come.
So THAT’s what profiteroles are! I never knew before today!
What a touching way to celebrate J’s birthday. I’m glad it was so memorable for all of you.
I think I had them once, but forgot what they tasted like. Cream puffs with ice cream in the middle, covered with chocolate sauce and shaved white chocolate.
That moment was truly a high point for all of us.
That looks amazing…The way those arms of the river part just like L’รฎle de la citรฉ. The restaurant looks like the real thing too. And I’m sure dessert was very very nice. Nice way to spend your birthday.
They’ve really done an amazing job with the pavilions. Morocco was another favorite. Coming soon….
The dessert looks fabulous! And what a special way to celebrate J’s birthday ๐
Thanks, Bonnie. ๐
How absolutely wonderful for your friend J!
Now, will you call me a snob if I say the chocolate sauce is not dark enough? ๐ That restaurant looks like the one we went to in Euro Disney.
No, I expected to hear from you. ๐ I think they do milk chocolate for Americans because they prefer it?
I’ve been to Epcot and Paris, and I kind of prefer Epcot.
Paris Las Vegas is fun too.
