We’re supposed to get rain, sleet and 2-4 inches of snow, so a quick post that I can publish with my iPhone. Hopefully we won’t lose power, but I’m not taking chances this time.
Roses in the afternoon sun….
Sometimes it’s OK to shoot in bright sunlight. I love the redyellowandorange colors.

The roses are positively gorgeous and what better way to dispel the coming winter like weather!
They truly help. 🙂
The color in this shot is just beautiful! I hope the snow passes you by, I know we are all ready for spring!!!
Amazing color combination. What are you actually painting in your course? Flowers? Landscapes or people. I think I find people hardest. Faces are ok but bodies seem very difficult.
Caroline, we get to pick whatever we want, but it has to be a photograph (preferably one’s own). I thought that would be easy, but when you’re just starting, you need something as simple as possible. My first painting has a bit of detail, so it’s taking longer. At this point, I can’t even imagine doing faces.
Beautiful colors on the rose. I hope that you’re power doesn’t go out for you. It can be so challenging to do ordinary tasks without power.
For once, we didn’t lose power! We have with every other storm. I don’t mind sending the blog on my iPhone, but I can’t stand typing on that thing. 🙂
Are these still your Valentine’s Day roses? Wow!
They are, but I took this last week. They still look pretty good, though!
This is beautiful! Hope you don’t lose power either…stay safe and warm!
Thanks, all is well here!
So beautiful.
Thanks, Jennie. Hope you’re feeling better.
