As I mentioned yesterday, Mr. Prose and I went to Sugarloaf Mountain, with a stop at the coolest pumpkin stand. It’s called Comus Market and is located across from the Comus Inn, a lovely place to eat (red roofs in background.) Did you believe me when I said they had blue-gray pumpkins? Well, here’s proof:
I especially like these yellow-and-orange pumpkins.
And then there’s green-and-yellow.
They also had squash….
and gourds….
Talk about kaleidoscopic. That is a word, right? Yes, I checked. It’s not something I say every day.
Love these minis. More tomorrow.
Absolutley loving your autumn pics! Fall is my absolute favorite time of year, but I live in Phoenix now and don’t get to experience it except through the fabulous way you are capturing it every day. Thanks for brightening my day with your talent.
Oh, thank you. I lived in Calif. for 10 years, so I know how you feel. They do have seasons out West, but not as dramatic.
Great pictures! They made me forget that I dislike pumpkins.
Wait, wait, how can anyone dislike pumpkins? Pumpkin pie? Pumpkin bread, especially from Starbucks? And best of all, pumpkin spice lattes…
Pumpkin spice lattes? That sounds good. I wonder where I could taste that… I just love pumpkin soup.
Starbucks carries them every fall–they’re wonderful. They also have a toffee drink but it sounds a little too rich, even for me.
