I can’t think of any other way to describe the place called Uncommon Objects in Austin, Texas. There are so many things in every inch of space you can’t even take it all in. Looking at the photos now, I’m just a little surprised at all the stuff I missed.
I thought of doing collages with these shots, but they’re so busy, you would have gone insane looking at them. 🙂
Here’s what caught my eye, or iPhone. . . .
I found these profiles just a little bit sad. There was no one left in the family who wanted them?
Hope your week’s going well so far. . . .

What a place. Great shots. I wonder sometimes as well, when you see old photos on flea markets. It’s strange to see those people who are probabaly long gone and their families didn’t keep their photos . . .
I guess it’s better than throwing them away?
I wish my chaos was controlled and looked like art. I was recently told my desk looked like a chipmunk nest. That can’t be good.
Oh, no! 🙂 Mine is not quite that bad, but I tend to have piles of papers in too many places.
I should study yours so I can learn how to be neater with my piles.
Oh yes, I am very good at neatening piles. 🙂
There was a little shop like this one in my neighborhood. They sold piles of pictures – most were grainy B&W snapshots of people. The owners of the shop said that they buy the photos from estate sales. Sometimes the photos would have writing on the back, like Earl 1959, Cape Cod, or something like that. I always wondered about those people in the photos.
I do too, Jackie. Would never be able to buy them.
So much eye candy (or icandy).
Good one!
I know a place like this in Holt, Norfolk, UK, too, I love walking around there.
I loved looking in the shops in England.
