A very dear friend took me to the nicest place for lunch:
Thyme in the Ranch, located in Rancho Santa Fe, is part cafe and bakery
and part gift shop.
You can sit inside
or outside
and the food is wonderful.
Flowers are everywhere. . . .
The zinnias are especially beautiful.

This is my kind of place, I like everything, the inside, the outside, the details and the flowers.
If the food is only half as good it must be quite a wonderful place.
Everything we had was outstanding, Caroline. I’ve gotten very spoiled living here because you get great food AND beautiful surroundings. Back East, it was often one or the other.
